No Scrooges here! Holiday spirit alive and well at the Shaw Festival

Media Bulletin #1

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, December 7, 2012…Santa’s annual stop in Niagara-on-the-Lake this weekend brings with it a whole lot of holiday cheer and kicks off seasonal festivities at the Shaw Festival.

The Shaw will once again take part in the annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 8, 2012. The Shaw Festival’s float is festively decked and ready to wind its way through Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Old Town beginning at 11 a.m.

Feeling a bit like a Christmas curmudgeon? Get a hardy boost of the holiday spirit at the annual dramatic reading with music of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol by members of The Shaw Ensemble at St. Mark’s Anglican Church (41 Byron Street) on December 23 at 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit Bethlehem Projects.
