 About Culture Days

Culture Days is a collaborative Canada-wide volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Culture Days was inspired by Quebec’s annual Journées de la culture, founded in 1997 and the success of Alberta Arts Days (now Alberta Culture Days), founded in 2008. The 2012 Culture Days Weekend will take place September 28, 29 and 30 across Canada.

In the spirit of Bernard Shaw, the Shaw Festival provokes the mind and stirs the soul through a theatre experience so compelling that, year after year, ever-broadening groups of artists, audiences and supporters are drawn to our work in Niagara-on-the-Lake and beyond.
